Evaluación del Efecto de Dos Sistemas de Pulido en la Rugosidad Superficial de la Cerámica Disilicato de Litio: Estudio In Vitro

| dc.description | Este estudio in vitro se propuso evaluar el impacto de dos sistemas de pulido en la rugosidad superficial de la cerámica de disilicato de litio, un material crucial en odontología restaurativa. Inicialmente, se emplearon 30 muestras dentales divididas en dos grupos, cada uno sometido a un sistema de pulido diferente. La rugosidad superficial se evaluó mediante un analizador de superficies, y se utilizaron parámetros como Ra para medir la amplitud de la rugosidad. Los datos recopilados fueron sometidos a pruebas estadísticas (Saphiro Wilk y Test de signos). Los resultados revelaron diferencias significativas en la rugosidad superficial entre los dos sistemas de pulido, indicando una influencia directa en las propiedades superficiales de la cerámica de disilicato de litio. La comparación con investigaciones previas, como el estudio de Ramon (2022) y García-Cuerva et al. (2021), resalta la coherencia en la importancia del sistema de pulido en la rugosidad superficial, aunque se reconocen diferencias metodológicas. La relevancia clínica de estos hallazgos reside en su contribución a la optimización de procesos de pulido que puedan mejorar las propiedades mecánicas y estéticas de las restauraciones dentales de cerámica de disilicato de litio. Estos resultados proporcionan una base sólida para futuras investigaciones y prácticas clínicas, destacando la necesidad de considerar cuidadosamente la selección del sistema de pulido en la práctica odontológica para garantizar resultados óptimos en términos de rugosidad superficial y, por ende, la longevidad y el rendimiento de las restauraciones dentales. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This in vitro study aimed to assess the impact of two polishing systems on the surface roughness of lithium disilicate ceramic, a crucial material in restorative dentistry. Initially, 30 dental samples were divided into two groups, each subjected to a different polishing system. Surface roughness was evaluated using a surface analyzer, and parameters such as Ra were employed to measure roughness amplitude. The collected data underwent statistical tests (Shapiro-Wilk and Sign test). The results revealed significant differences in surface roughness between the two polishing systems, indicating a direct influence on the surface properties of lithium disilicate ceramic. Comparison with previous research, such as Ramon's study (2022) and García-Cuerva et al. (2021), highlights consistency in the importance of the polishing system in surface roughness, though methodological differences are acknowledged. The clinical relevance of these findings lies in their contribution to optimizing polishing processes that can enhance the mechanical and aesthetic properties of lithium disilicate ceramic dental restorations. These results provide a solid foundation for future research and clinical practices, emphasizing the need to carefully consider the selection of the polishing system in dental practice to ensure optimal outcomes in terms of surface roughness and, consequently, the longevity and performance of dental restorations. | spa |
