En Granada, los adultos mayores cuentan con un hogar geriátrico, el cual los acoge y les ofrece algunos servicios, como alojamiento, alimentación y asistencia médica y recreación dirigida. Desde este estudio se analizó el impacto que sufren los adultos mayores en su adaptación cuando son internados en dicho establecimiento. Se visualizó dicha problemática desde el análisis de aspectos como: Adaptación, Entorno, Adulto Mayor, Emociones, Las Conducta y el Vínculo con los cuales se logró entender y conocer su percepción en este proceso adaptativo y el rol de su familia en su acompañamiento y apoyo al respecto. La indagación se realizó mediante la aplicación de un instrumento de investigación, lo cual quedó planteado en el objetivo “Explicar los factores que influyen en los cambios emocionales y comportamentales de los adultos mayores en su proceso de adaptación al Hogar Geriátrico “Mi Segundo Hogar” del Municipio de Granada Meta”. La presente investigación se trabajó con el tipo de investigación cualitativa, con enfoque descriptivo y la línea investigativa que enrutó la investigación fue: Psicología, Sistemas Humanos y Salud Mental. Se concluyó que, al obtener la información se dio respuesta a la pregunta de investigación ¿Cuáles aspectos psicológicos, relacionados con la emoción y el comportamiento, cambian en el adulto mayor al ser internado en un hogar geriátrico?, se utilizaron los hallazgos como elemento de apoyo académico y se comunicó al Hogar Geriátrico sobre lo relevante que puedan utilizar en beneficio de los adultos mayores.

Abstract

In Granada, older adults have a geriatric home, which welcomes them and offers them some services, such as accommodation, food and medical assistance and directed recreation. From this study, the impact suffered by older adults in their adaptation when they are hospitalized in said establishment was analyzed. This problem was visualized from the analysis of aspects such as: Adaptation, Environment, Older Adult, Emotions, Behavior and the Link with which it was possible to understand and know their perception in this adaptive process and the role of their family in their accompaniment and support. about. The investigation was carried out through the application of a research instrument, which was raised in the objective "Analyze the factors that influence the emotional and behavioral changes of the elderly in their process of adaptation to the Geriatric Home "My Second Home" of the Municipality of Granada Meta”. The present investigation was worked with the type of qualitative investigation, with a descriptive approach and the investigative line that routed the investigation was: Psychology, Human Systems and Mental Health. It was concluded that, when obtaining the information, an answer was given to the research question: What psychological aspects, related to emotion and behavior, change in the elderly when admitted to a geriatric home? The findings were used as an element of academic support and the Geriatric Home was informed about the relevance that they can use for the benefit of the elderly.
