La presente sistematización de experiencias está basada en un seguimiento a los contenidos de la página web de Noticias RCN, para establecer si estos le apuesten a los relatos y vivencias de la ciudadanía.
Noticias RCN es un medio de comunicación masivo en Colombia que durante años ha informado a las audiencias. Tras la llegada de la era digital, muchos medios modificaron sus líneas editoriales e incorporaron nuevos contenidos a la web. El 15 de julio de 2013 nació noticiasrcn.com con una promoción que les contaba a los televidentes que este portal se abría las 24 horas, con actualización constante.
De acuerdo con lo anterior, se evidenció que el problema objeto de la sistematización radica en que la página web de Noticias RCN se rige, en su mayoría, por estándares de informar, formar y entretener a unos usuarios determinados. La característica principal de este tipo de medio online es la inmediatez y la noticia pura; es decir, contar los sucesos que están pasando en tiempo real. Esto conlleva a que el periodista, muchas veces, se enfoque reproducir información y deje de lado la opinión, el análisis y las historias de vida que reflejan superación o problemáticas de algún determinado sector de nuestra sociedad.
Para analizar esta problemática, es necesario mencionar sus causas. Una de ellas es que la página web se divide en múltiples secciones, entre ellas 'Nacional', y dentro de ella, la subsección 'gente', cuyo enfoque está determinado por tendencias que no involucran a la gente del común, y sí a personajes reconocidos, ya sea por ámbitos políticos, sociales, farándula, artísticos, etc.
Abstract
The present systematization of experiences is based on a follow-up of the contents of the RCN News web page, to establish whether they are betting on the stories and experiences of citizens.
Noticias RCN is a mass media outlet in Colombia that has informed audiences for years. After the arrival of the digital age, many media modified their editorial lines and added new content to the web. On July 15, 2013, noticiasrcn.com was born with a promotion that told viewers that this portal was open 24 hours a day, with constant updating.
In accordance with the foregoing, it was evident that the problem object of the systematization is that the RCN News website is governed, for the most part, by standards of informing, training and entertaining certain users. The main characteristic of this type of online media is immediacy and pure news; that is, to count the events that are happening in real time. This leads the journalist, many times, to focus on reproducing information and leaving aside the opinion, analysis and life stories that reflect overcoming or problems in a certain sector of our society.
To analyze this problem, it is necessary to mention its causes. One of them is that the website is divided into multiple sections, among them 'National', and within it, the 'people' subsection, whose focus is determined by trends that do not involve ordinary people, but characters recognized, whether by political, social, entertainment, artistic, etc.
