dc.description	Introducción: La implantología como rama de la odontología tiene el fin de solucionar problemas asociados a ausencias dentales causadas por pérdida prematura, trauma o agenesia, el abanico de soluciones implanto soportadas y/o implanto retenidas permite la rehabilitación de dientes individuales, tramos edéntulos o totales que van desde el cuidado o mantenimiento del profesional como del mismo paciente. Objetivo: Diseñar una guía educativa virtual para el mantenimiento de elementos protésicos en pacientes que asisten a las clínicas odontológicas de la Universidad Santo Tomás. Materiales y métodos: En primer momento se realizó una revisión narrativa de la literatura, con el fin de sinterizar los resultados de múltiples investigaciones primarias y se procedió al diseño de la guía virtual innovadora con validación facial por parte de expertos en las áreas de periodoncia y rehabilitación a través de un cuestionario tipo Likert. La muestra la conformaron 31 docentes especialistas con contratación directa con la universidad. Se realizo un análisis descriptivo a través de frecuencias absolutas y porcentajes. Resultados: se observó que en su mayoría los expertos eran del sexo femenino en un 58,06% (18), edades entre 51 a 62 años en un 38,71% (12), una experiencia laboral mayor de diez años en un 45,16% (14) y pertenecen a la especialidad de periodoncia en un 64,52% (20). Además, al evaluar la guía virtual expresaron estar de acuerdo en un 87,00% (27) con la estructura y contenido del aplicativo virtual en los aspectos de que es una herramienta educativa relevante y fácil para el manejo de los pacientes. Conclusiones: La utilización de una guía educativa para el cuidado de los elementos protésicos será una ayuda para que los pacientes lleven un orden lógico del procedimientos, hábitos y enseñanza de estos con el fin de tener una buena adaptación y aceptación para el beneficio de su salud.	spa
dc.description.abstract	Introduction: Implantology as a branch of dentistry has the purpose of solving problems associated with dental absences caused by premature loss, trauma or agenesis, the range of implant supported and/or retained implant solutions allows the rehabilitation of individual teeth, edentulous or total sections. ranging from patient care or maintenance of the professional as well as the same. Objective: To design a virtual educational guide for the maintenance of prosthetic elements in patients who attend the dental clinics of the Santo Tomás University. Materials and methods: At first, a narrative review of the literature was carried out, in order to synthesize the results of multiple primary investigations, and the innovative virtual guide was designed with facial validation by experts in the areas of periodontics and rehabilitation through a Likert-type questionnaire. The sample was made up of 31 specialist teachers with direct contracting with the university. A descriptive analysis was performed through absolute frequencies and percentages. Results: it was shown that most of the experts were female in 58.06% (18), ages between 51 to 62 years in 38.71% (12), a work experience of more than ten years in 45 .16% (14) and 64.52% (20) belong to the specialty of periodontics. In addition, when evaluating the virtual guide, they expressed agreement in 87.00% (27) with the structure and content of the virtual application in the aspects that it is a relevant and easy educational tool for patient management. Conclusions: The use of an educational guide for the care of prosthetic elements will be a help for patients to carry a logical order of procedures, habits and teaching of these in order to have a good adaptation and acceptance for the benefit of their patients’ health.	spa
