Abstract

The construction of project of a Fura and Tena Mine Learning and Interpretation Place, in the Muzo and Quípama area, to expand the economic and social possibilities of the population of this region, with the strengthening of sectors such as tourism, cultural heritage and the memory of this area of western of Boyacá, characterized by the contrast between the mining wealth produced by the exploitation of emeralds, and the difficult social situation that the population lives. While the mines are exploited by private companies, the region's inhabitants live in the midst of informality, poverty and few sources of employment. With the construction of this place, it is expected to expand the job offer with the promotion of tourism and other economic activities in the region that will minimize the economic difficulties experienced by the population.
