Durante el periodo del Frente Nacional (1958 – 1974), acuerdo político entre las élites de los Partidos Liberal y Conservador, ambos partidos tradicionales del país, hubo una proliferación de movimientos, artistas e intelectuales que, a través del pensamiento crítico, aportaron una manera diferente de ver e interpretar la realidad nacional, introduciendo nuevas y distintas miradas, pensamientos y expresiones del quehacer artístico e intelectual. En ese contexto surge la revista La Nueva Prensa que circuló en Colombia entre 1961 y 1966, como iniciativa del periodista Alberto Zalamea (1929 - 2011) para hacerle frente y oposición a la información que presentaba la prensa tradicional del país y al régimen del Frente Nacional. Esta investigación analiza las redes intelectuales que se generaron alrededor de esta publicación, a partir de ver las revistas como soporte material, práctica intelectual y espacios de sociabilidad. Presentando las características de la revista; su contenido, organización y sus objetivos políticos. Esto como antesala al análisis de la participación de intelectuales en este proyecto y el aporte tanto a nivel de bienes culturales que la revista hizo evidente, revisando sus formas de vinculación y frecuencia en la formación de redes intelectuales.
Abstract
During the period of the National Front (1958 - 1974), a political agreement between the elites of the Liberal and Conservative Parties, both traditional parties in the country, there was a proliferation of movements, artists and intellectuals who, through critical thinking, contributed a way different from seeing and interpreting the national reality, introducing new and different views, thoughts and expressions of artistic and intellectual work. In this context, the magazine La Nueva Prensa arises, which circulated in Colombia between 1961 and 1966, as an initiative of the journalist Alberto Zalamea (1929 - 2011) to confront and oppose the information presented by the traditional press of the country and the National Front regime. This research analyzes the intellectual networks that were generated around this publication, based on seeing the magazines as material support, intellectual practice and spaces for sociability. Presenting the characteristics of the magazine; its content, organization and political objectives. This as a prelude to the analysis of the participation of intellectuals in this project and the contribution both at the level of cultural assets that the magazine made evident, reviewing their forms of connection and frequency in the formation of intellectual networks.
