Nuestra sociedad ha hecho a discriminado al adulto mayor, limitándolo y aislándolo, generando dificultades de autoestima, desmejorando la calidad de vida y promoviendo el sedentarismo en este tipo de población. Sin embargo el Instituto Distrital de Recreación y Deporte, las alcaldías de las diferentes localidades, las cajas de compensación han creado programas de actividad física destinados para los adultos mayores, existen hogares geriátricos que se han dedicado a cuidar del adulto mayor.Esta empresa se ha diseñado con el fin de ofrecer espacios para la recreación,
el aprovechamiento del tiempo libre y a la vez estimular la pro actividad, aumentar el autoestima, mejorar la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores sin la necesidad de ser internados y alejados de sus familiares, es un centro que puede actuar estilo guardería, donde el adulto mayor puede pasar el mayor tiempo durante el día, está bajo la responsabilidad de profesionales y está
siendo un ser activo, sintiéndose útil sin importar su edad
Abstract
Our society has discriminated against the elderly, limiting and isolating them, generating difficulties of self-esteem, diminishing the quality of life and promoting sedentary lifestyles in this type of population. However, the District Institute of Recreation and Sports, the mayor's offices of the different localities, the compensation funds have created physical activity programs for the elderly, and there are geriatric homes that have been dedicated to take care of the elderly.
