Apoyo a la ejecución de acciones de control y seguimiento al desempeño ambiental por parte de la Contraloría General de Boyacá

Abstract

The General Comptroller of Boyacá is a public entity in charge of control, fiscal surveillance and environmental management, which works in order to have a continuous improvement in the management of the state and quality of life of the Boyacenses. In the area of work related to the environment, it is in charge of various activities such as the implementation of environmental audits, attention to lawsuits, the preparation of a consolidated report on the current state of natural resources and the environment of the department of Boyacá. Its objective is to obtain useful environmental management indicators for the departmental administration regarding the different sectors belonging to scientists, academics and citizens in general. It is for this reason that the General Comptroller's Office of Boyacá is an ideal entity for the development of the academic practice or internship, since it provides the student with something fundamental, which is to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the career in a work environment. Based on this, the objective of this report is to support the execution of actions of control and monitoring of environmental performance by the Office of the Comptroller General of Boyacá, developing activities such as the preparation of preliminary reports of the Water Quality Risk Index for Human Consumption (IRCA) of the municipalities that are in the worst conditions at departmental level, assistance to reforestations, organization of educational workshops, among others.
