Trabajo de investigación sobre la situación de la formación académica en el Seminario Mayor “Los Sagrados Corazones” de la diócesis de Pasto, para indagar hasta qué grado responde a las expectativas de sus estudiantes y, con visión de futuro, a los retos y exigencias que el mundo actual plantea a un sacerdote católico.
En el trabajo se recorre el pasado de la formación presbiteral donde se brindaba a los seminaristas las herramientas necesarias para aportar al mejoramiento de la sociedad y se analiza la realidad académica de la institución, teniendo en cuenta a la comunidad educativa, por medio de una muestra poblacional. El estudio y su análisis, se realiza asumiendo, como fundamento, los documentos de la Iglesia, la bibliografía necesaria desde el enfoque pedagógico y las normas civiles que le competen.
Al final, se plantea la necesidad de una revisión y renovación curricular, además se propone un esquema que puede servir para que la institución cumpla con su misión de formar un ministro idóneo, según las orientaciones de la Iglesia y los estándares educativos vigentes, que responda a los anhelos y exigencias de la sociedad actual.
Abstract
Research work on the situation of the academic formation in the Major Seminary "The Sacred Hearts" of the diocese of Pasto, to investigate to what extent it responds to the expectations of its students and, with a vision of the future, to the challenges and demands that the present world poses a Catholic priest.
In the work the past of the presbyteral formation is visited where the seminarians were given the necessary tools to contribute to the improvement of the society and the academic reality of the institution is analyzed, taking into account the educational community, by means of a sample population The study and its analysis, is carried out assuming, as a foundation, the documents of the Church, the necessary bibliography from the pedagogical approach and the civil norms that correspond to it.
In the end, there is a need for a curricular revision and renewal, and a scheme is proposed that can be used by the institution to fulfill its mission of forming an appropriate minister, according to the orientations of the Church and current educational standards, that responds to the desires and demands of today's society.
