La cartilla titulada "¿Por qué a mí?" narra la experiencia de Valeria, quien comparte su historia de vida marcada por el diagnóstico de VIH. La cartilla está diseñada no solo para contar su historia personal, sino también para educar sobre el VIH/SIDA y sus consecuencias, tanto médicas como sociales. A lo largo del texto, Valeria narra su lucha no solo contra la enfermedad, sino también contra los prejuicios y la discriminación. Describe cómo se sintió aislada y estigmatizada, pero también cómo encontró la fuerza para seguir adelante, recibir apoyo médico y psicológico, y finalmente, cómo comenzó a colaborar con ONG's, compartiendo su experiencia para ayudar a otros. La cartilla incluye actividades didácticas como una sopa de letras y un mini cuestionario para evaluar el conocimiento sobre el VIH/SIDA. Las preguntas del cuestionario están diseñadas para aclarar mitos y proporcionar información precisa sobre la transmisión, prevención y tratamiento del VIH. Valeria invita a la reflexión sobre la importancia de vivir con esperanza y aprovechar las oportunidades para cambiar la vida de los demás. Su historia sirve como un testimonio de resiliencia y una fuente de inspiración para quienes enfrentan situaciones similares. La cartilla busca no solo informar, sino también sensibilizar y motivar a las personas a vivir plenamente a pesar de los desafíos que puedan enfrentar.
Abstract
The booklet entitled "Why Me?" narrates the experience of Valeria, who shares her life story marked by her HIV diagnosis. The primer is designed not only to tell her personal story, but also to educate about HIV/AIDS and its consequences, both medical and social. Throughout the text, Valeria narrates her struggle not only against the disease, but also against prejudice and discrimination. She describes how she felt isolated and stigmatized, but also how she found the strength to go on, receive medical and psychological support, and finally, how she started collaborating with NGOs, sharing her experience to help others. The booklet includes didactic activities such as an alphabet soup and a mini-questionnaire to test knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The quiz questions are designed to clarify myths and provide accurate information about HIV transmission, prevention and treatment. Valeria invites reflection on the importance of living with hope and seizing opportunities to change the lives of others. Her story serves as a testimony of resilience and a source of inspiration for those facing similar situations. The booklet seeks not only to inform, but also to raise awareness and motivate people to live fully despite the challenges they may face.
