Resumen
Ubicado en zona rural de la capital turística del departamento de Santander, en la vereda Egidos y Pericos, al norte del casco urbano del municipio de San Gil el Hotel Rural Chinátoca nace como respuesta a la elevada demanda de turismo natural y las nuevas corrientes arquitectónicas de establecimientos de alojamiento turístico a nivel nacional. El proyecto se consolida como un complejo turístico que se integra con el medio ambiente, rodeado de vegetación endémica, clima cálido con fuertes corrientes de aire, una sinuosa topografía y un gran atractivo natural y paisajístico, que da como resultado una visual única, donde el cielo se une con la cordillera oriental. De esta manera, la naturaleza se convierte en el principal elemento de diseño, creando tres volúmenes destinados a cumplir las funciones: social, operacional y habitacional, distribuidos en el predio y adaptados al relieve topográfico. Todos ellos separados entre sí y conectados por medio de un eje de circulación que emula un bosque de galería, permitiendo un desplazamiento inclusivo, agradable y placentero por los diferentes espacios del proyecto. Conceptualizado el objetivo funcional y espacial del proyecto, se propone una volumetría que reinterprete elementos propios de la arquitectura de la región. Dando como resultado cubiertas asimétricas inclinadas, elementos estructurales a la vista, patios internos que integran naturaleza con arquitectura, elementos verticales en madera y grandes vanos en fachada para el aprovechamiento paisajístico del entorno. Finalmente, la materialidad es definida por componentes que se integren con las condiciones naturales del proyecto, acabado en concreto color ocre para los elementos estructurales y mampostería, acabado en losa tipo Barichara para los pisos y circulaciones, madera cumarú para elementos en fachada y cubiertas, caña brava para la elaboración del cielo raso y vegetación baja ornamental que ambiente cada uno de los espacios internos del hotel, generando una relación entre arquitectura, paisaje y naturaleza.
Abstract
Located in a rural area of the tourist capital of the department of Santander, in the Egidos y Pericos village, north of the urban area of the municipality of San Gil, the Hotel Rural Chinátoca was born in response to the high demand for natural tourism and the new architectural trends of tourist accommodation establishments nationwide. The project is consolidated as a tourist complex that is integrated with the environment, surrounded by endemic vegetation, a warm climate with strong air currents, a sinuous topography, and a great natural and landscape attraction, which results in a unique visual, where the sky meets the eastern mountain range. In this way, nature becomes the main design element, creating three volumes destined to fulfill the functions: social, operational and residential, distributed on the property and adapted to the topographic relief. All of them separated from each other and connected by means of a circulation axis that emulates a gallery forest, allowing an inclusive, pleasant and pleasant movement through the different spaces of the project. Once the functional and spatial objective of the project has been conceptualized, a volumetry is proposed that reinterprets elements typical of the architecture of the region. Resulting in sloping asymmetric roofs, exposed structural elements, internal patios that integrate nature with architecture, vertical wooden elements and large openings in the façade for the landscape use of the environment. Finally, the materiality is defined by components that are integrated with the natural conditions of the project, ocher concrete finish for the structural elements and masonry, Barichara-type slab finish for the floors and circulations, cumaru wood for elements on the façade and roofs, ‘caña brava’ for the elaboration of the flat ceiling and ornamental low vegetation that surrounds each of the hotel's internal spaces, generating a relationship between architecture, landscape, and nature.
