Abstract

The thesis developed within the framework of the study group Tejer Entre Nos Otros recognizes the importance of children's literature as a fundamental pedagogical tool for comprehensive development in early childhood and as a privileged means to strengthen family bonds. This research arises from a personal and professional interest in understanding how shared reading activities can become spaces of affection, communication, and identity building, especially in rural contexts where socioeconomic and cultural conditions limit access to meaningful reading experiences. The development of this research in the municipalities of Villa de Leyva and Garagoa made it possible to understand the particularities of early education in rural contexts, where family dynamics are deeply marked by agricultural work, long working hours, and limited access to printed materials.
