Optimización y Análisis de Gastos Empresariales mediante Power BI y VBA

Abstract

This research focuses on the use of digital tools to optimize business processes, specifically in expense management within the pharmaceutical industry. It addresses the importance of tools such as Power BI and VBA in improving operational efficiency and making informed decisions in complex and dynamic business environments. The objectives of this research include centralizing dispersed expense information into a single repository using Power BI, implementing an efficient analysis system with Power BI and VBA, and evaluating the project's impacts on operational efficiency and financial performance within the organization. A detailed study was conducted involving the collection, cleaning, and structuring of business expense data using Power BI. Subsequently, an efficient analysis system was implemented through the creation of interactive dashboards and reports. A VBA macro was developed to optimize the data cleansing process, significantly reducing the time spent on this task. The results of the research demonstrated a substantial improvement in operational efficiency and financial performance within the organization. Effective centralization of expense information was achieved, facilitating informed decision-making. The implementation of tools such as Power BI and VBA allowed for a deeper and more detailed analysis of financial data, resulting in tangible benefits in terms of time and resource savings. In conclusion, the research highlights the importance of innovation and continuous improvement in optimizing business processes. The project has shown the strategic value of digitalization and process optimization in pursuit of operational excellence and sustainable growth. Additionally, it underscores the importance of training and skill development in the use of digital tools to address the challenges of 21st-century business.
