dc.descriptionEl presente artículo es fruto de una investigación llevada a cabo como Corrector de Estilo de las publicaciones USTAdurante 2 semestres académicos (2010), en el Departamento de Humanidades y Formación Integral de la USTA-SeccionalTunja; investigación intitulada “Competencia lecto-escritural en la USTA-Seccional Tunja (2010)”, a partir de la revisiónexhaustiva de las Revistas del Departamento de Humanidades, de las Facultades de Derecho, Ingenierías (Civil, Electrónica,Informática, Mecánica), Arquitectura y Centro de Estudios Enrique Lacordaire: 128 textos que incluían: artículos dedocentes y estudiantes, 3 tesis doctorales laureadas en España e Italia, 5 tesis de maestría, 7 libros, 5 módulos de Derecho.El último texto exhaustivamente revisado fue el de los 15 años de la USTA-Tunja intitulado “Huellas dominicanas”… Losresultados han permitido constatar numerosas falencias de fondo y forma, que permiten concluir que la CompetenciaLecto-escritural es primordial en el proceso de la Investigación Formativa como prerrequisito para investigaciones demayor envergadura (macroproyectos). Concretamente, se centra la atención en el Ensayo académico, como herramientafundamental en el ámbito universitario y se indican algunas pautas de fondo y forma desarrolladas a lo largo de diezaños de docencia en la USTA-Tunja.THE READING-WRITING COMPETITION: THE ACADEMIC ESSAY (Hommage to Ernesto Sabato, 1911-2011)AbstractThe present article is fruit of a research carried out while working as proofreader for USTA during 2 academicsemesters (2010), in the Department of Humanities and Integral Formation of the USTA-Tunja; entitled investigation:“reading-writing competence in the USTA-Tunja (2010)” starting from the exhaustive revision of the Magazines of theDepartment of Humanities, the Law schools, Engineering (Civil, Electronic, Systems, Mechanics), Architecture and theCenter for Educational Studies Enrique Lacordaire: 112 texts that included: articles by teachers and students, 3 honoreddoctoral thesis (Spain and Italy), 3 master thesis, 7 books, 5 modules... The last text revised was the book of the fifteenyears of USTA-Tunja. The results have allowed verifying numerous form and content mistakes which conclude that theReading-Writing Competence is crucial in the process of Formative Research as required for research of more span (macroprojects).The attention is centered in a literary gender, the academic essay, as a fundamental tool in the universityenvironment, indicating some background and form rules developed along ten years of pedagogy in the USTA-Tunja.es-ES
