Escenario urbano de integración cultural "Cerro alto"

Abstract

The project is based on an investigation at a municipal level focused on the ecological structure of Duitama, highlighting; among the hills of the municipality; the three tutelary hills that are in the urban center, La Milagrosa, La Tolosa and San José Alto; spaces of great landscape, environmental and social importance. The San José Alto hill is disconnected from the physical reality of the city due to the lack of spaces that eliminate the social gap and the marginalization of a type of population in front of it.

The architectural project responds as an articulating space between the San José Alto hill and the urban center (Plaza los Libertadores) generating collective activities that instill social cohesion, the activation of the hill and environmental awareness, fundamental elements of the project, allowing the social and spatial integration of two geographical realities disconnected by the lack of common scenarios.

The general approach is developed from an urban intervention on the historical paths of the urban center, joining the different milestones and nodes most relevant to the population of Duitmo with the ecological structure of the hills; secondly, this intervention will allow the connection through the career 16 and 17, the highest priority, with the square of the liberators, the mill, culturama and the hill San Jose Alto through the center of cultural integration as the main development.
