El Grupo de Investigación ÁBA, desde el año 2025, viene desarrollando el Coloquio Interdisciplinar de Humanidades, Ciencia, Sociedad y Ambiente, proyectándose como un escenario de encuentro académico, plural e interdisciplinar. Desde su primera versión, el coloquio ha promovido el diálogo entre docentes investigadores, estudiantes y semilleros de investigación de instituciones de educación media y superior, favoreciendo la circulación de saberes, la reflexión crítica y la construcción de redes académicas con énfasis en enfoques humanísticos. En este sentido, el coloquio se proyecta como una plataforma en proceso de consolidación para la divulgación de la ciencia y el fortalecimiento de la investigación en la región.
El coloquio se vincula con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, especialmente los ODS 4 (Educación de calidad), 13 (Acción por el clima), 15 (Vida de ecosistemas terrestres), 11 (Ciudades y comunidades sostenibles) y 12 (Producción y consumo responsable). Esto en la medida en que el carácter reflexivo del coloquio se centra en temáticas a las que apuntan a cubrir los objetivos mencionados, por lo que tiene metas en las que un coloquio centrado en estos temas podría contribuir; así como con las políticas institucionales orientadas a la divulgación científica y al fortalecimiento del trabajo interinstitucional.
Para su segunda versión, se propone la continuidad del coloquio en orden a tener un alcance interinstitucional, orientado a visibilizar reflexiones desde las humanidades, para pensar los desafíos contemporáneos sobre bioética, medio ambiente y tecnología, reconociendo su papel crítico, interpretativo y propositivo frente a los retos sociales, ambientales y tecnológicos en la región de la Orinoquía y del país.
Abstract
Since 2025, the ÁBA Research Group has been organizing the Interdisciplinary Colloquium on the Humanities, Science, Society, and the Environment, establishing itself as a pluralistic and interdisciplinary forum for academic exchange. Since its inception, the colloquium has promoted dialogue among faculty researchers, students, and emerging researchers from secondary and higher education institutions, fostering the exchange of knowledge, critical reflection, and the building of academic networks with an emphasis on humanistic approaches. In this regard, the colloquium serves as a platform—currently in the process of consolidation—for the dissemination of science and the strengthening of research in the region.
The symposium aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), 13 (Climate Action), 15 (Life on Land), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). This is because the reflective nature of the colloquium focuses on themes that address the aforementioned goals, meaning it aligns with objectives to which a colloquium centered on these topics could contribute, as well as with institutional policies aimed at scientific outreach and the strengthening of inter-institutional collaboration.
For its second edition, it is proposed that the colloquium continue with an inter-institutional scope, aimed at highlighting perspectives from the humanities to address contemporary challenges in bioethics, the environment, and technology, while recognizing their critical, interpretive, and proactive role in addressing social, environmental, and technological challenges in the Orinoquía region and throughout the country.
