Propuesta de diseño de una Casa de la Cultura para San Juan del Cesar, La Guajira

Abstract

The House of Culture is an endowment that has the function of providing spaces for the development and promotion of artistic expressions that respond to the tradition and culture of a community. That is why a design proposal for a house of culture is proposed for the municipality of San Juan del Cesar, located in the south of La Guajira, recognized for being a land of composers. It also stands out for the diversity of customs, traditions and cultural manifestations. Hence, this proposal aims to provide spaces for these, because at present the municipality does not have the space that meets all these needs arising among other circumstances to its demographic growth. That is why a participatory action research is carried out to determine what kind of cultural activities are carried out in the municipality. And through the use of the unstructured interview, it can be inferred that the main activities that are developed are music, crafts and dance. Consequently, it is intended to respond to these needs through a cultural facility that the community can use.
