Definición del estado del arte de las redes de comunicación ópticas empleando herramientas de vigilancia tecnológica

Abstract

The main objective of the research work was to study the state of the art of optical communication networks using technological surveillance tools. An extensive technological surveillance was also carried out for the UNITEL research group of the Santo Tomas University, who commissioned a task, which was to update the status in the line of optical communications research and emphasis was placed on the topic of optical access networks. A technological surveillance was carried out where an overview of the scientific activity related to the research topic was obtained. There an analysis was carried out per year, magazines, countries, areas of knowledge, etc. All this data could be extracted from the Scopus database (Elservier, B: V 2015). The document presents the most relevant data obtained during the Completion of the Technological Surveillance exercise applied to the definition of the state of the art in All Optical Access Networks (All Optics). In chapters 1,2, and 3, the formulation of the problem, the justification and the objectives are presented respectively. Chapter 4 Includes the frame of reference and the state of the art that covers aspects of types of access networks, types of optical access networks, structure of an FTTx network, multiplexing techniques, topologies of optical access networks, additionally included the concepts of technological surveillance, database and patents. Chapter 5 Understands the methodology of technological surveillance through the definition of keywords and consultation of specialized database of articles and patents, in addition to the supplier's website and / or manufacturers of equipment technology for the design of Optical Networks. Chapter 6 contains the result analysis in which the dynamics are presented of investigation of the suggested terms or of the critical surveillance factors using as evaluation criteria the number of scientific articles registered in the database and the inventive activity developed in the topic of Optical Networks.
