El presente estudio, identificó los componentes del liderazgo transformacional que más se destacaron en equipos de Ultimate Frisbee en Bogotá y Medellín, y su relación con variables como la categoría en la que participan cada participante, la edad de estos, la ciudad donde compiten y su género. El Ultimate Frisbee es un deporte que se practica en Colombia desde hace más de 15 años y ha sido acogido cada vez por más personas en la última década. Es por esta acogida y la necesidad encontrada por de generar investigaciones en este deporte en Colombia, que se realizó la aplicación del instrumento Inventario de Liderazgo Transformacional Diferenciado a 203 jugadores de Ultimate Frisbee entre 13 y 38 años de las ciudades de Bogotá y Medellín. Los deportistas los cuales compiten en las tres categorías que permite el Ultimate Frisbee (femenina, masculina y mixta), se estudiaron, con el fin de observar su percepción de conductas de liderazgo transformacional de sus entrenadores. Se encontraron correlaciones inversamente proporcionales entre la prueba y sus dimensiones, y la edad de los participantes, el tiempo con el equipo y el tiempo con el entrenador. Así mismo, se hallaron diferencias de grupos estadísticamente significativas respecto al instrumento. Dichas diferencias se presentaron en tres variables: sexo, ciudad y categoría en la que compiten, lo cual indicó interesantes relaciones entre las variables, dando a conocer además los componentes más desarrollados del liderazgo transformacional en equipos de Ultimate Frisbee.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was identify the components of transformational leadership that were stood out in teams of Ultimate Frisbee in Bogota and Medellin; and the relation with variables such as the category in which each participant involved, the age of these, the city where they compete and the gender. The Ultimate Frisbee is a sport that is practiced in Colombia for over 15 years and has been embraced by more and more people in the last decade. It´s because of this reception and the need to generate research of this sport in Colombia that was performed an application of the Team Coach Leadership Scale instrument was applied to 203 players Ultimate Frisbee between 13 and 38 years in the cities of Bogota and Medellin. Athletes who compete in the three categories that enables Ultimate Frisbee (female, male and mixed), were studied in order to observe their perception of transformational leadership behaviors of their coaches. Inversely proportional correlations between the test and its measurements, the age of participants, time with the team and time with the coach were found. Likewise, statistically significant differences respects to the instrument groups were found. These differences were presented in three variables: sex, city and category in which they compete, which indicated interesting relationships between variables, giving further provides the most developed components of transformational leadership in Ultimate Frisbee teams.
