Sites of memory in Colombia: challenges of exemplary memory

| dc.description | This article aims to make evident three sites of memory that have been built in Colombia. In them, tensions and struggles between official and local memories are emphasized; the latter are those built in territories where atrocious acts against humanity have occurred, and which allow the uncovering of voices and stories about the events experienced in the context of the armed conflict. The research was of qualitative in nature, in its hermeneutic dimension, through Quintero's proposal for hermeneutic narrative research (PINH, in Spanish), which considers narrative to be the main nucleus of the work. It concludes with the challenges of exemplary memory as an ethical and political commitment that contributes to the construction of peace in Colombia, through the treatment of the past that demands truth, justice, reparation, and the never again of atrocious events. | dc.description | Este artículo tiene como propósito evidenciar tres lugares de memoria que se han construido en Colombia. En estos se resaltan las tensiones y pugnas que se dan entre la memoria oficial y las memorias locales; estas últimas son las que se construyen en los territorios en donde han ocurrido hechos atroces en contra de la humanidad, y que permiten el desocultamiento de voces y relatos sobre los hechos vividos en el marco del conflicto armado. La investigación fue de carácter cualitativo, en su dimensión hermenéutica, mediante la propuesta de investigación narrativa hermenéutica (PINH) de Quintero, que considera a la narrativa como el núcleo central del trabajo. Se concluye con los desafíos de la memoria ejemplar como apuesta ética y política que contribuye a la construcción de paz en Colombia, por medio del tratamiento del pasado que demanda verdad, justicia, reparación, y el nunca más de los hechos atroces.
