Comparación del Potencial de Eliminación de Cromo (VI) Contenido en Aguas a Nivel de Laboratorio a través de las Propiedades de Residuos Provenientes de una Agroindustria por medio de la Técnica de Biosorción

| dc.description | El presente proyecto consistió en la obtención de biosorbentes con diferentes tamaños de partícula a partir de la modificación de residuos agroindustriales para ser probados y comparados en la adsorción de Cr (VI) contenido en muestras de agua sintética. Se realizó una caracterización de estos adsorbentes por medio de la técnica de espectrofotometría DRIFT donde se determinaron la presencia de grupos funcionales como alcoholes, ácidos carboxílicos, esteres y éteres, que tenían una interacción con los iones cromato formando puentes de hidrógeno. Se realizaron experimentos cinéticos y en el equilibrio para determinar cantidades adsorbidas de Cr (VI) y posterior ajuste de los datos a los modelos de isotermas de adsorción de Langmuir, Freundlich y Dubinin-Radushkevich y modelos cinéticos de pseudo-segundo orden, difusión intrapartícula y difusión en el film líquido utilizados para determinar selectividad, capacidad total, afinidad y velocidades de reacción de estos adsorbentes, donde se pudo evidenciar que para el menor tamaño de partícula se dieron las eficiencias más altas, siendo mejores para la piña. Las frutas que mejor se ajustaron a modelos de isotermas fueron mora y lulo, sin embargo la piña no logró ajustarse a los modelos que pueden explicar mejor los mecanismos de adsorción. Finalmente a partir de los resultados obtenidos se establecieron los impactos ambientales, sociales y económicos que tienen tanto la técnica y su posible implementación a nivel industrial. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This project consisted in obtaining biosorbents with different particle sizes from the modification of agro-industrial waste to be tested and compared in the adsorption of Cr (VI) content in samples of synthetic water. A characterization of these adsorbents was performed by spectrophotometry DRIFT, the presence of functional groups such as alcohols, carboxylic acids, esters and ethers, having an interaction with chromate ions to form hydrogen bonds were determined. Kinetic and equilibrium experiments were performed to determine adsorbed amounts of Cr (VI) and subsequent adjustment of the data models of adsorption isotherms Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich and kinetic models of pseudo-second order, intraparticle diffusion and diffusion the liquid film used to determine selectivity, total capacity, affinity and reaction rates of these adsorbents, where it was evident that for smaller particle size the highest efficiencies are given, being better for pineapple. The fruits that best fitted to models isotherms were blackberry and lulo, pineapple however failed to adjust to the models that can better explain the mechanisms of adsorption. Finally, from the results of the environmental, social and economic impacts that have both the technique and its possible implementation at industrial level were established. | spa |
