Hábitat camino entre manglares, Turbo Antioquia

Abstract

This degree project originates from a field visit carried out in the Turbo District located in the Department of Antioquia, Republic of Colombia that is part of the Urabá Region, located in the north of Colombia, with a privileged geographical position, given the biodiversity offered by the region in which it is located and the strategic nature of the territory; which represents a bridge between South America and Central America. There is located the Barrio Obrero, an invasion zone established approximately 10 years ago. There currently live some 500 families, which over the years have used the soil for the construction of roads and tracks sacrificing the mangrove, which is why there is no protection strip against the tide in some points. Thus, this proposal of the construction of sustainable housing for the protection and conservation of the Barrio Obrero mangrove emerges, as a contribution in the solution of the main problem to be solved, which is that most of the houses are built in material that corrodes especially wood, since these constructions are in fill areas with a high degree of instability and even on water. The general objective is to contribute to the improvement of the habitat of the population of the Barrio Obrero de Turbo through architectural intervention in housing and the environment, from two perspectives: to. Contribute to reducing the housing deficit in the sector. b. Contribute to the protection of the mangrove from a good housing implantation. After carrying out a rigorous diagnosis that covers social, economic and environmental aspects, several needs and situations were detected that showed the existing problems and guided the solution actions until the proposal presented with this project was established. Several projects carried out in different parts of the world were taken as references that were investigated and give technical support to the possibility of carrying out the execution of the proposal, that is, towards its technical and economic viability. In this document, the aforementioned references are presented, as well as the floor plans, sections, typologies, implantation and program analyzes. Finally, the models of the project and the imaginary of the transformation of the territory to intervene with the implementation of the project are shown.
