El presente artículo explora los aportes del pluralismo religioso a la construcción de un currículo crítico en contextos escolares, mediante una investigación cualitativa de tipo documental con enfoque hermenéutico. Se analiza el pluralismo religioso no solo como coexistencia de credos, sino como una actitud activa de diálogo, inclusión y reconocimiento mutuo que fortalece la educación en valores como la libertad, el respeto y la empatía. Paralelamente, se desarrolla el concepto de currículo crítico como una propuesta pedagógica emancipadora, construida desde la reflexión situada sobre las realidades sociales, políticas y culturales del estudiante. El estudio revela que la clase de educación religiosa tradicionalmente vista como espacio doctrinal, puede convertirse en escenario de pensamiento crítico y formación ciudadana si se sustenta en la pluralidad. Asimismo, se destaca el rol del docente como mediador entre saberes y contexto, capaz de diseñar propuestas significativas desde la diversidad religiosa. El artículo concluye que la articulación entre pluralismo religioso y currículo crítico promueve una educación transformadora, donde el conocimiento se pone al servicio de la convivencia, la justicia social y la formación de ciudadanos del mundo conscientes de su realidad y comprometidos con su transformación colectiva.
Abstract
This article explores the contributions of religious pluralism to the construction of a critical curriculum in school contexts, through a qualitative documentary research with hermeneutic approach. Religious pluralism is analyzed not only as the coexistence of religions, but as an active attitude of dialogue, inclusion and mutual recognition that strengthens education in values such as freedom, respect and empathy. At the same time, the concept of critical curriculum is developed as an emancipatory pedagogical proposal, built on the basis of reflection on the social, political and cultural realities of the student. The study reveals that religious education class, traditionally considered as a doctrinal space, can become a stage for critical thinking and civic training if it is based on plurality. It also highlights the role of the teacher as a mediator between knowledge and context, able to design meaningful proposals from religious diversity. The article concludes that the articulation between religious pluralism and critical curriculum promotes a transformative education, where knowledge is put at the service of coexistence, social justice and the training of world citizens aware of their reality and committed to their collective transformation.
