Resumen
La situación en la República de Costa de Marfil se debe a la violencia post -electoral la cual ha desencadenado múltiples violaciones de derechos humanos para la población marfileña, la cual ha estado marcada por la xenofobia y la discriminación dentro del conflicto, siendo instrumento de manipulación política a través de una violencia organizada, dirigida a perpetuar el poder hacía un partido político para así suprimir la libertad electoral del pueblo marfileño.
En este caso, es la Corte penal internacional la encargada de entrar a examinar la situación de la República de Costa de Marfil, en vista de que se cometieron crímenes de guerra y crímenes de lesa humanidad, pero también porque hay un interés de justicia, no solo por los graves crímenes que se cometieron, sino de parte de las víctimas las cuales han sido afectadas hasta el día de hoy por este ciclo de violencia. Es por ello que se deben esclarecer los hechos, no solo para lograr la reparación de las víctimas sino para llevar a los máximos responsables ante la justicia, para que posteriormente sean juzgados.
Abstract
The situation in the Republic of Ivory Coast is due to post-electoral violence which has triggered multiple human rights violations for the Ivorian population, which has been marked by xenophobia and discrimination within the conflict, being an instrument of manipulation politics through organized violence, aimed at perpetuating power towards a political party in order to suppress the electoral freedom of the Ivorian people.
In this case, it is the International Criminal Court that is in charge of examining the situation in the Republic of Ivory Coast, in view of the fact that war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed, but also because there is an interest in justice, not only because of the serious crimes that were committed, but also because of the victims who have been affected to this day by this cycle of violence. That is why the facts must be clarified, not only to achieve reparation for the victims but also to bring those most responsible to justice, so that they can later be tried.
