Ambientes lectores en primera infancia: Una experiencia de creación colectiva basada en la tradición oral rural para la promoción de prácticas de lectura

Abstract

This systematization documents and analyzes three experiences of creating reading environments in rural contexts of Boyacá, Colombia, developed between 2023-2024, which integrate oral tradition as a dynamic element of reading practices in early childhood. The sense horizon was oriented towards transforming everyday spaces into meaningful reading environments, leveraging family knowledge and local resources. The pedagogical approaches included the collective construction of reading materials, documentation of local narratives, and creation of physical spaces dedicated to reading, while didactic strategies privileged oral storytelling, shared reading, and creation of original texts. Through qualitative analysis including focus groups and monitoring logs, processed through Atlas Ti, significant transformations were identified in family reading practices and strengthening of intergenerational bonds. The pedagogical knowledge produced shows that oral tradition, when articulated with culturally relevant reading promotion strategies, can catalyze the development of sustainable reading habits in rural contexts.
