Comúnmente se cree que los totalitarismos sólo pueden existir sociedades que han derogado la democracia o la han sustituido. Por otra parte también se cree que después de la Alemania Nazi es imposible que vuelvan a existir países que caigan en totalitarismos. Sin embargo, vale la pena revisar nuestro contexto latinoamericano, mundial pero también personal, pues vivimos en un mundo que aunque globalizado, neoliberal, capitalista y democrático, no está exento de ciertos focos donde los sistemas totalitarios parecieran tener éxito y, donde muchas personas, desean que dicho éxito se replique en sus naciones.
Para formalizar el análisis descrito anteriormente, se realiza una propuesta pedagógica donde se evidencia el trabajo realizado con estudiantes de grado undécimo de un colegio privado de Bogotá, sobre el totalitarismo en nuestra época. En dicho ejercicio pedagógico se pretende evidenciar la formación profesional como docente de la licenciatura en Filosofía y Educación Religiosa, planeando y ejecutando una clase sobre el tema. Para dicho fin se retoman distintas posturas sobre el totalitarismo que permiten ser contrastadas y actualizadas: a la filósofa y escritora Hannah Arendt desde su obra Eichmann en Jerusalén y el análisis que hace de los efectos, del sistema totalitario, en el ser humano; Al filosofó Emil Cioran en su ensayo Rusia y el virus de la libertad donde alaba y reivindica los sistemas totalitarios que han existido y los logros de los países que se han animado a sostener dicho sistema; por último, al filosofó y teólogo Juan Antonio Guerrero en su ensayo El totalitarismo en nuestro presente donde retoma las obras de Arendt para reflexionar desde sus aportes y aplicar los aprendizajes en nuestra época.
Dentro de los resultados del ejercicio se podrá ver que en nuestro contexto colombiano, los totalitarismos coexisten con la democracia y que, como en la Alemania Nazi, son muchas las personas que están de acuerdo y apoyan los líderes que sostienen ideas totalitarias.
Abstract
It is commonly believed that totalitarianisms can only exist in societies that have repealed democracy or replaced it. On the other hand it is also believed that after Nazi Germany it is impossible to return to countries that fall into totalitarianism. However, it is worth reviewing our Latin American context, global but also personal, because we live in a world that although globalized, neoliberal, capitalist and democratic, is not exempt from certain foci where totalitarian systems seem to be successful and, where many people, They want that success to be replicated in their nations.
To formalize the analysis described above, a pedagogical proposal is made where the work done with eleventh grade students from a private school in Bogotá, about totalitarianism in our time, is evident. In this pedagogical exercise it is tried to show the professional formation like teacher of the degree in Philosophy and Religious Education, planning and executing a class on the subject. For this purpose different positions on totalitarianism that allow to be contrasted and updated are retaken: to the philosopher and writer Hannah Arendt from his work Eichmann in Jerusalem and the analysis he makes of the effects, of the totalitarian system, on the human being; To the philosopher Emil Cioran in his essay Russia and the virus of freedom where he praises and vindicates the totalitarian systems that have existed and the achievements of the countries that have been encouraged to sustain this system; Finally, the philosopher and theologian Juan Antonio Guerrero in his essay Totalitarianism in our present where he takes up the works of Arendt to reflect from their contributions and apply the learning in our time.
Within the results of the exercise you can see that in our Colombian context, totalitarianisms coexist with democracy and that, as in Nazi Germany, there are many people who agree and support the leaders who hold totalitarian ideas.
