Based on a conceptual review and a qualitative methodology of documentary analysis, it explores the contributions of religious education to the ethical, spiritual, and civic formation of eleventh-grade students. Pedagogical challenges and possibilities are proposed to strengthen peaceful coexistence from a humanistic and diverse perspective. It examines how, through the teaching of universal religious principles, attitudes and behaviors of Nonviolence can be promoted, fostering an environment of peace within the educational community and society at large. It offers propitious elements at the time of consolidating a project of life focused on the exit, encounter and surrender as fundamental elements in the construction of the particular route. And the contribution of religious education to the consolidation of these vital functions. For this, a qualitative investigation with narrative methods has been proposed as a strategy to dialogue around the pedagogy of the SRE from the experiences of the students. The results allow us to investigate the role that the teacher plays, his position regarding the knowledge of the area, the didactic strategies that influence the student to have a critical attitude towards diversity and respect for differences, as well as the openness for the question about the experience of the religious and transcendent values of the human being. This theoretical approach deals with the elements that open the way in the rapprochement between the diversity of religious beliefs and how to build bridges that help us walk together in the development of cultures and societies.
