El proyecto plantea el diseño arquitectónico para la Terminal de Transporte Terrestre del municipio de Aguachica, Cesar, a partir de los aspectos técnicos, formales y estéticos de la región. Para ello se tuvo en cuenta el referente teórico y la metodología de Bruce Archer, la cual permitió la recolección y organización de la información necesaria para cumplir los objetivos establecidos.
La investigación inicia con un análisis geográfico del municipio, en busca del funcionamiento estratégico del proyecto a escala intermunicipal. Se identificó la categoría adecuada para el equipamiento con ayuda de la norma técnica colombiana 5454 y el análisis de frecuencias, los tipos de vehículos y despachos de la actual terminal de transporte de Aguachica. Además, se analizaron diferentes tipologías de terminales de transporte para determinar las características urbanas, formales, funcionales y técnicas del proyecto. Finalmente, se establecieron las estrategias bioclimáticas correspondientes al contexto.
Desde lo formal, el diseño propuesto plantea estrategias bioclimáticas como la ventilación natural mediante dilataciones entre cubiertas y zonas verdes, dentro y fuera del edificio. Cabe destacar que el sistema técnico para el diseño del proyecto fue la arquitectura modular, que incluyó estructuras livianas y ligeras que permiten futuras modificaciones en el edificio. Este sistema técnico permite cumplir el Decreto 2762 del 2001, según el cual este tipo de equipamientos debe responder a la demanda de pasajeros durante los próximos 20 años. Con todo lo anterior, el diseño supone que la edificación podría adquirir un valor estético y simbólico en el imaginario de la región.

Abstract
The project proposes the architectural design for the Terrestrial Transport Terminal of the municipality of Aguachica, Cesar, based on the technical, formal and aesthetic aspects of the region. For this, the theoretical reference and the methodology of Bruce Archer were considered, which allowed the collection and organization of the information necessary to accomplish the established objectives.
The investigation begins with a geographic analysis of the municipality, in search of the strategic operation of the project at intermunicipal scale. The appropriate category for the equipment was identified with the help of Colombian technical standard 5454 and the analysis of frequencies, the types of vehicles and dispatches of the current Aguachica transport terminal. In addition, different types of transport terminals were analyzed to determine the urban, formal, functional and technical characteristics of the project. Finally, the bioclimatic strategies corresponding to the context were established.
From the formal point of view, the proposed design proposes bioclimatic strategies such as natural airiness through expansions between roofs and green areas, inside and outside the building. It should be noted that the technical system for the design of the project was the modular architecture, which included light and mild structures that allow future modifications to the building. This technical system allows to comply with Decree 2762 of 2001, according to which this type of equipment must respond to the demand of passengers during the next 20 years. With all the above, the design assumes that the building could acquire an aesthetic and symbolic value in the imaginary of the region.
