La caracterización de las opciones de grado en la Facultad de Ingeniería Ambiental entre
2018 y 2023 constituye una labor esencial para la Universidad. Este análisis permitió identificar
enfoques predominantes en el programa, contribuyendo a la comprensión crítica de la evolución
de la investigación. Para adquirir los datos pertinentes de las tesis de grado, se utilizaron el
Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad Santo Tomás, los archivos de la Coordinación de
Investigación del programa de Ingeniería Ambiental y la información registrada en el aplicativo
GrupLAC del grupo de investigación GAUV. De allí se recopilaron las tesis correspondientes a las
opciones de grado en el periodo establecido y se registraron los parámetros relevantes de cada tesis
en la matriz suministrada por parte de Decanatura. Una vez completada la matriz de datos se obtuvo
como resultado una base de datos en Excel con información correspondiente a las tesis de grado
realizadas en la Facultad de Ingeniería Ambiental en el periodo comprendido entre 2018-2023. Se
registraron un total de 298 tesis de grado; de estas 298, se realizaron 79 tesis de grado en
investigación ambiental, 63 en gestión y economía ambiental, 52 en salud ambiental, 45 en manejo
integral del recurso hídrico, 21 en servicios ecosistémicos ambientales, 21 en tecnologías Limpias
y 17 en ordenamiento ambiental del territorio; se registraron 38 tesis de grado vinculadas a
proyectos FODEIN o estrategias CTI y 63 productos asociados; por último, 28 tesis de grado no
se encuentran registradas en el CvLAC / GrupLAC.
Abstract
The characterization of degree options in the Faculty of Environmental Engineering
between 2018 and 2023 is an essential task for the University. This analysis made it possible to
identify predominant approaches in the program, contributing to the critical understanding of the
evolution of the research. To acquire the pertinent data of the degree theses, the Institutional
Repository of the University of Santo Tomás, the files of the Research Coordination of the
Environmental Engineering program and the information registered in the GrupLAC application of
the GAUV research group were used. From there, the theses corresponding to the degree options
in the established period were compiled and the relevant parameters of each thesis were recorded
in the matrix provided by the Dean's. Once the data matrix was completed, an Excel database was
obtained with information corresponding to the degree theses carried out at the Faculty of
Environmental Engineering in the period between 2018-2023. A total of 298 undergraduate theses
were registered; Of these 298, 79 undergraduate theses were carried out in environmental research,
63 in environmental management and economics, 52 in environmental health, 45 in integrated
water resource management, 21 in environmental ecosystem services, 21 in clean technologies and
17 in environmental planning of the territory; 38 bachelor's theses linked to FODEIN projects or
STI strategies and 63 associated products were registered; finally, 28 undergraduate theses are not
registered in the CvLAC / GrupLAC.
