Abstract

The city of Tunja has become known in recent times for its high academic offer and as a result its increase in the youth population. Growth has been imminent with the expansion of the facilities of different universities throughout the city. This has led the city to take the title of university city. Despite the city's growth, it has remained stagnant in terms of development and promotion of other types of activities and knowledge, since it has only grown at the population and housing level, however, there are no complementary facilities, nor facilities related to the needs that have been given. After some analysis it was found that the city of Tunja has had a great "independent" development in terms of art and culture. In recent years, various groups of independent young people have developed artistic activities such as workshops, exhibitions, self-promotion, among others. The mayor's office has noticed this behavior and generates ephemeral annual activities that manage to "support" these artistic movements, however, it is not enough since they are activities that, although they make some artists known, do not train them, nor increase their knowledge nor They provide this support throughout the year. In addition to not taking into account other people who also want to acquire this knowledge. An investigation of the facilities that provide workshops and classes related to artistic development was carried out, this courage that there is only offer in professional careers, which are music and plastic arts and since these are careers of a professional nature, some filters must be passed to gain access. In conclusion, the city lacks spaces for people interested in art to be trained in this field without the need for prior knowledge.
