En el Departamento del Meta se adelantan diferentes actividades que generan crecimiento económico, algunas de estas actividades son el turismo, el desarrollo agrícola, ganadería, y entre otros esta la extracción de petróleo, las empresas encargadas de esta última actividad generan excedentes de los cuales un porcentaje de ellos debe ser transferido al Estado, por la explotación de Recursos Naturales No Renovables (RNNR), para luego ser invertidos en la promoción de la minería, la preservación del medio ambiente y la financiación de proyectos regionales en las zonas en las cuales se adelantes este tipo de actividades. Existe en la actualidad el Sistema General de Regalías, el cual lo conforma un conjunto de ingresos provenientes de la contraprestación económica generada por las empresas petroleras, denominada regalías.
A nivel nacional existen diferentes departamentos productores de petróleo, y Castilla la Nueva Meta se ubica en el segundo municipio con mayor producción del país, hace menos de dos meses se comunicó el hallazgo de otro pozo en Castilla la Nueva. Este municipio recibe una contraprestación económica que son las regalías, las cuales deben ser destinadas para cubrir las necesidades del municipio, sin embargo, en Castilla la Nueva se presentan algunas irregularidades con el manejo de estos recursos, ya que no se destinan para las inversiones que realmente se deben dirigir.
Abstract
In the Department of Meta, different activities are carried out that generate economic growth, some of these activities are tourism, agricultural development, livestock, and among others is oil extraction, the companies in charge of this last activity generate surpluses of which a percentage of them must be transferred to the State, for the exploitation of Non-Renewable Natural Resources (RNNR), to then be invested in the promotion of mining, the preservation of the environment and the financing of regional projects in the areas in which carry out these types of activities. There is currently the General Royalties System, which is made up of a set of income from the economic compensation generated by oil companies, called royalties.
At the national level there are different oil producing departments, and Castilla la Nueva Meta is located in the second municipality with the highest production in the country. Less than two months ago the discovery of another well in Castilla la Nueva was reported. This municipality receives an economic compensation in the form of royalties, which must be allocated to cover the needs of the municipality, however, in Castilla la Nueva there are some irregularities with the management of these resources, since they are not allocated for the investments that they really must be addressed.
