Estudio Historiográfico de los Hitos Urbanos Artístico Culturales en Villavicencio: 1950-2023

Abstract

Villavicencio has been a territory of continuous transmutation, precisely because of the changes to which it has been subjected in recent decades in relation to population density, the occupation of the city and the way in which the inhabitants carry out their dynamics throughout the year. territory. This research project aims to investigate the artistic cultural history of Villavicencio as a diffuse path, full of temporal gaps, where the lack of systematization of data and information has been a key point for the population to ignore the history that precedes it. The main objective of the research is to rescue the memory of the urban milestones of an artistic nature that managed to configure the territory and its dynamics, in order to dignify it in a series of strategies for the recovery of the physical layout that these spaces demonstrate to us throughout Villavicencio. For this, it is necessary to establish the existence of bibliographic, photographic, filmographic and journalistic archives and documents in order to understand how the history of Villavicencio is told from the cultural-artistic approach and from what perspectives it is mentioned. Likewise, understanding the qualitative and exploratory characteristics of the research, a series of interviews are generated both with experts in the cultural field of Villavicencio and with people who managed to be spectators of the change of the city, the abandonment of spaces and the birth of others.
