Abstract

This report contains information related to business practice in Carbones del Cerrejón, a company dedicated to the exploration, exploitation and export of Coal. The practice was developed in the Foreign Trade area for six months. Upon arriving at the company, the induction was performed in the area to be performed and the functions to be performed were defined. During the months of instance in Cerrejón, the intern was in charge of receiving, reviewing and delivering trips for their nationalization and delivery in the wineries of La Mina. In addition to these tasks, the practitioner was responsible for estimating the release dates of the merchandise imported by the company and, in turn, carried out support activities in carrying out minimum descriptions of the materials purchased abroad. This last activity was carried out, in order to comply with resolution 25 of February 21, 2013, issued by the National Tax and Customs Directorate. The report explains the phases that must be carried out to create a trip in the foreign trade system, Soul. In addition, the different modalities and types of import declaration implemented by Cerrejón for the arrival of the merchandise to the customs territory are exposed, complying with the rules and decrees established by the customs authority.
