Resumen
Este trabajo contiene 3 puntos claves; el primero, representa una gran guía para la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica, con el fin de orientar el entorno social y laboral que están teniendo los egresados. La información adquirida permite mejorar el plan de estudios académicos para lograr la competitividad y profundización de los recursos que se deben cumplir para obtener el título de Ingeniero Mecánico. El segundo, en la Universidad Santo Tomás es fundamental el estudio de impacto y pertinencia del programa académico de Ingeniería Mecánica, ya que, esto permite analizar los diferentes perfiles laborales dentro del sector industrial, las ocupaciones, las expectativas de sus profesionales y su capacidad de respuesta como ingenieros al mercado que se encuentra en la región. Por último, en el presente estudio se pueden identificar las necesidades laborales, económicas e industriales de la región desarrolladas por las empresas que en su disponibilidad de vacantes y el proceso de selección de las mismas consideran fundamental la labor de un Ingeniero Mecánico en el crecimiento productivo de su empresa.
Abstract
This work contains 3 key points; the first one, represents a great guide for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in order to orient the social and labor environment that the graduates are having. The information acquired allows improving the academic curriculum to achieve competitiveness and deepening of the resources that must be fulfilled to obtain the degree of Mechanical Engineer. Secondly, the study of the impact and relevance of the Mechanical Engineering academic program is fundamental at Universidad Santo Tomás, since it allows analyzing the different labor profiles within the industrial sector, the occupations, the expectations of its professionals and their capacity to respond as engineers to the market found in the region. Finally, in the present study it is possible to identify the labor, economic and industrial needs of the region developed by the companies that in their availability of vacancies and the selection process of the same consider fundamental the work of a Mechanical Engineer in the productive growth of their company.
