dc.descriptionIntroducción: El significativo avance de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en los últimos tiempos, permite su aplicación al sector salud de numerosas maneras, aportando beneficios de calidad y seguridad en la prestación del servicio, así como un importante ahorro desde el punto de vista económico. Objetivo: Determinar reproducibilidad y concordancia del software ADT PERIODONTAL para el registro de hallazgos clínicos y diagnósticos periodontales, comparado con el periodontograma manual, para su respectiva instalación y aplicación en las clínicas odontológicas de la Universidad Santo Tomás. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio de evaluación de tecnologías diagnósticas, para evaluar la reproducibilidad y concordancia del software ADT PERIODONTAL, tomando la muestra de historias clínicas de pacientes de mantenimiento de la Especialización en Periodoncia desde enero de 2017 a diciembre del 2018. Se implementó un muestreo aleatorio simple a partir de la base de datos, para un total de 127 historias clínicas. Resultados: Se incluyeron 101 pacientes de los cuales 51,49% eran mujeres con edad promedio 47,99 ± 13,44 años. La reproducibilidad de la representación gráfica de cada uno de los dientes es casi perfecta ya que oscila entre 0,81 y 1,00. Los errores del software ADT PERIODONTAL tuvieron relación directa con la generación de los reportes gráficos dentales por ausencia de una o más opciones de graficación, identificadas durante la transcripción de los datos del periodontograma manual a la versión digital. Conclusiones: Las fallas en la reproducibilidad de la graficación dental se relacionaron directamente con la ausencia de opciones para la selección de hallazgos clínicos específicos e indirectamente con fallas en los atributos de procesamiento propios del software.spa
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The significant advance of information and communication technologies in recent times, allows its application to the health sector in many ways, providing quality and safety benefits in the provision of the service, as well as significant savings from the point of economic view. Objective: To determine reproducibility and concordance of the ADT PERIODONTAL software for the registry of clinical findings and periodontal diagnoses, compared with the manual periodontogram, for its respective installation and application in the dental clinics of the Santo Tomás University. Materials and methods: An evaluation study of diagnostic technologies was carried out to evaluate the reproducibility and concordance of the ADT PERIODONTAL software, taking the sample of clinical records of maintenance patients of the Periodontics Specialization from January 2017 to December 2018. implemented a simple random sampling from the database, for a total of 127 medical records. Results: 101 patients were included, 51.49% were women with an average age of 47.99 ± 13.44 years. The reproducibility of the graphic representation of each of the teeth is almost perfect, since it oscillates between 0.81 and 1.00. The ADT PERIODONTAL software errors were directly related to the generation of dental graphic reports due to the absence of one or more graphing options, identified during the transcription of the data from the manual periodontogram to the digital version. Conclusions: Failures in the reproducibility of dental graphing were directly related to the absence of options for the selection of specific clinical findings and indirectly to faults in the processing attributes of the software.spa
