El presente avance corresponde al estudio patológico del Teatro Imperial, edificación de uso cultural ubicada en la ciudad de Pasto, Nariño. El objetivo de esta etapa es realizar una caracterización inicial del estado actual del inmueble mediante inspección visual y recopilación de información disponible, con el fin de identificar las principales manifestaciones patológicas visibles y establecer una línea base para el diagnóstico posterior. La metodología aplicada se centró en recorrido técnico in situ, registro fotográfico, clasificación preliminar de daños y revisión general de antecedentes. Durante la visita se observaron fisuras en muros de mampostería, presencia de humedad en zonas inferiores, desprendimiento de recubrimientos y signos de envejecimiento y colapso de materiales. Las condiciones ambientales propias de la región, caracterizadas por clima frío y alta humedad relativa, podrían estar influyendo en el deterioro progresivo de algunos elementos. Este avance permite organizar la información recolectada y definir las etapas siguientes, en las cuales se contemplan mediciones específicas y posibles ensayos no destructivos para confirmar causas y nivel de afectación.
Abstract
This progress report corresponds to the pathological study of Teatro Imperial, a cultural-use building located in the city of Pasto, Nariño. The objective of this stage is to carry out an initial characterization of the current condition of the property through visual inspection and review of available information, in order to identify the main visible pathological manifestations and establish a baseline for subsequent diagnosis. The methodology focused on an on-site technical survey, photographic documentation, preliminary damage classification, and general background review. During the visit, cracks in masonry walls, presence of moisture in lower areas, detachment of coatings, and signs of material aging and localized collapse were observed. Environmental conditions typical of the region, characterized by cold climate and high relative humidity, may be contributing to the progressive deterioration of certain elements. This progress allows for the organization of the collected information and the definition of subsequent stages, which will include specific measurements and possible non-destructive testing to confirm causes and level of damage.
