Este texto ésta organizada en cuatro grandes capítulos. En el primero daremos una mirada histórica al Primero de Mayo, en la que abarcaremos los inicios de la celebración del Día Internacional del Trabajo,
para luego enfocarnos en su desarrollo en Colombia. Además, se considera que el sentido específico de este día como movilización social se debe a que es una creación simbólica, es decir, es el resultado de RS que hemos construido a partir de la historia que sobre él se ha escrito y leído; de las cifras y las periodizaciones; y de los discursos de los medios de comunicación sobre sus actores y acciones.
Por movilizaciones entendemos aquellas que "corresponden a las acciones sociales colectivas que hacen presencia temporal en espacios públicos, especialmente en vías; incluye lo que comúnmente se designa como marchas, concentraciones, mítines, plantones y manifestaciones públicas en general. Es una compleja construcción de mundos de sentido y significaciones; un mundo que contribuye a comprender la realidad de los trabajadores y de la sociedad colombiana.
En el segundo capítulo, se presentan algunos conceptos centrales sobre el mundo de las RS. Para ello partimos por reconstruir su noción desde los aportes de Berger y Luckmann sobre cómo construimos realidad en el mundo de lo cotidiano, los aportes de la sociología de Émile Durkheim y, posteriormente, el momento reconstructivo de las RS, como aquellos productos que intervienen en la vida social.
En el capítulo tercero, los lectores encontrarán elementos sobre los medios de comunicación, su relación con la construcción social de la realidad y cómo la noticia da cuenta -como producto- de RS. Finalmente,
en el cuarto capítulo se relacionan todos los elementos expuestos a lo largo del libro para analizarlos a la luz del discurso de las noticias de la prensa escrita, con el propósito de dar cuenta en las conclusiones de cuáles son las RS en torno a las movilizaciones del Primero de Mayo en Colombia.
Abstract
This text is organized in four main chapters. In the first we will take a historical look at May Day, covering the beginnings of the celebration of International Labor Day, and then focus on its development in Colombia. In addition, it is considered that the specific meaning of this day as a social mobilization is due to the fact that it is a symbolic creation, that is, it is the result of RS that we have built from the history that has been written and read about it; from the figures and periodizations; and from the discourses of the media about its actors and actions.
By mobilizations we understand those that "correspond to collective social actions that make a temporary presence in public spaces, especially on roads; it includes what is commonly referred to as marches, rallies, rallies, sit-ins and public demonstrations in general. It is a complex construction of worlds of sense and meanings; a world that contributes to understanding the reality of workers and Colombian society.
In the second chapter, we present some central concepts about the world of SRs. To do so, we start by reconstructing its notion from the contributions of Berger and Luckmann on how we construct reality in the everyday world, the contributions of Émile Durkheim's sociology and, subsequently, the reconstructive moment of SRs, as those products that intervene in social life.
In the third chapter, readers will find elements on the media, their relationship with the social construction of reality and how the news - as a product - accounts for SRs. Finally,
in the fourth chapter, all the elements exposed throughout the book are related in order to analyze them in the light of the discourse of the news in the written press, with the purpose of giving an account in the conclusions of what are the SRs around the mobilizations of May Day in Colombia.
