Abstract

This book describes the work done as an intern, as a civil engineering assistant in the infrastructure unit of the municipality of Duitama, whose purpose was to put into practice the knowledge obtained during the training process as a Civil Engineer at the Holy University Thomas On the other hand, the book describes each one of the activities carried out during a period of 4 months from the month of February 2019, among which the support in topographic surveys, topographic plans, inspection visits and calculation of quantities of work, where contributions were made that reflect positive impacts for both the secretariat and the community, contributing to the improvement of the human quality of the inhabitants of the municipality of Duitama, Boyacá. After having participated in each of the activities, it is concluded that the functions performed were fully fulfilled, strengthened and acquired knowledge in the area of civil engineering and the importance of carrying out work activities in the best way is highlighted. possible, applying regulatory standards that promote quality in civil works if necessary.
