Resumen
En el contenido del presente libro encontraremos un recorrido por los estudios lógicos de Aristóteles desde los cuales su autor señala conexiones con algunos aspectos de la filosofía del estadounidense Charles Sanders Peirce. De ahí que temas aristotélicos como la doctrina de las categorías, la interpretación, el silogismo y la ciencia demostrativa se tomen en cuenta para la comprensión del más importante filósofo norteamericano desde asuntos como el conocimiento representativo, la semiótica y el pragmatismo.
La atención filosófica por la obra peirceana ha mostrado en sus últimos años un interés por confrontar su postura con autores de la historia del pensamiento occidental, y si se tiene presente, de una parte, la dedicación de Peirce por más de cincuenta años al estudio de la lógica, y por otra, su continuo diálogo con la filosofía precedente, se supondrá que la deuda con las líneas del Órganon de Aristóteles resulta advertible.
Por lo tanto se espera que con este estudio el lector se pueda acercar con criterio a temas siempre presentes es en la historia del pensamiento y la reflexión como lo es la realidad, el razonamiento, la verdad y el conocimiento. Creemos que de igual modo este libro animará las acciones investigativas para que desde ellas se encuentren nuevos modos de tratar los problemas dentro de la dinámica de las producciones académicas y de enseñanza de nuestro medio.
Abstract
In the content of this book we will find a tour of the logical studies of Aristotle from which its author points out connections with some aspects of the philosophy of the American Charles Sanders Peirce. Hence, Aristotelian themes such as the doctrine of categories, interpretation, syllogism and demonstration science are taken into account for the understanding of the most important American philosopher from issues such as representative knowledge, semiotics and pragmatism.
The philosophical attention for the Peircean work has shown in its last years an interest to confront its position with authors of the history of the western thought, and if one takes into account, on the one hand, the dedication of Peirce for more than fifty years to the study of logic, and on the other hand, its continuous dialogue with the preceding philosophy, it will be assumed that the debt with the lines of the Organoton of Aristotle is noticeable.
Therefore it is expected that with this study the reader can approach with criteria to always present issues is in the history of thought and reflection as it is reality, reasoning, truth and knowledge. We believe that in the same way this book will animate the investigative actions so that from them new ways of dealing with the problems can be found within the dynamics of the academic productions and teaching of our environment.
