Resumen
El turismo desempeña un papel fundamental en el desarrollo económico de Brasil, siendo Río de Janeiro uno de sus destinos turísticos más emblemáticos. Este artículo de investigación se centra en analizar la evolución del turismo en Río de Janeiro a lo largo de las décadas y destaca las oportunidades y desafíos que este sector ha experimentado. Comenzamos trazando un recorrido histórico que abarca desde las primeras incursiones turísticas en la década de 1950 hasta la actualidad. Durante este período, Río de Janeiro ha pasado por transformaciones significativas en su infraestructura turística, atrayendo a visitantes de todo el mundo con sus icónicos destinos, como el Cristo Redentor, el Carnaval y sus playas paradisíacas, sin embargo, el camino del turismo en Río de Janeiro no ha estado exento de desafíos. Por lo tanto, este estudio combina análisis histórico, datos actuales y perspectivas futuras para brindar una visión integral del turismo en Río de Janeiro y sus implicaciones para el desarrollo económico. Los hallazgos presentados en este artículo pueden servir como una guía valiosa para los interesados en el sector turístico de la región y ofrecen perspectivas sobre cómo aprovechar las oportunidades emergentes en este emocionante destino turística.
Abstract
Tourism plays a fundamental role in the economic development of Brazil, with Rio de Janeiro being one of its most iconic tourist destinations. This research article focuses on analyzing the evolution of tourism in Rio de Janeiro over the decades and highlights the opportunities and challenges that this sector has experienced. We begin by tracing a historical journey that spans from the early tourist forays in the 1950s to the present day. During this period, Rio de Janeiro has undergone significant transformations in its tourist infrastructure, attracting visitors from around the world with its iconic attractions, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, the Carnival, and its paradisiacal beaches. However, the path of tourism in Rio de Janeiro has not been without challenges. This study combines historical analysis, current data, and future perspectives to provide a comprehensive view of tourism in Rio de Janeiro and its implications for economic development. The findings presented in this article can serve as a
valuable guide for those interested in the tourism sector in the region and offer insights into how to leverage emerging opportunities in this exciting tourist destination.
