    In the era of digitalization, the evolution of cities and territories towards smarter environments is imperative to provide efficient services and raise the quality of life of their inhabitants. Resolution 01117, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) in April 2022, establishes the guidelines for the digital transformation of smart cities and territories within the framework of the Digital Government Policy. This resolution makes the adoption and implementation of the MinTIC Maturity Model for Smart Cities and Territories (MMMCTI) mandatory by territorial entities. Given this provision, the need arises for local government entities, such as mayors and governorates, as well as their respective administrative organizations, to adopt and implement the MMMCTI as an integral part of their government and development plans, if they wish to advance towards city status. or intelligent territory. Although the resolution is mainly aimed at government entities, its scope is not limited to them, since private entities, social organizations and citizens in general can adapt and implement the MMMCTI. To facilitate the adoption and implementation of the MMMCTI, the creation of an Intelligent Tutorial System (STI) based on educational web software is proposed. This system would allow users to learn about the dimensions, subdimensions and axes of the model, which are its main constituent elements. This proposal promotes the use and development of machine learning and intelligent systems, as well as access to software through devices in various regions. The proposed solution covers various stages, following standard methodologies for the development of educational software, which include the analysis of the educational need, the design of the tutorial, the development of the software.

    The aim of the current project was to bring a solution to several problems derived from scheduling Universidad Santo Tomás’ lectures manually, specifically in Cau Villavicencio Campus. As this process was not automated, there was a considerable loss of time and money, in addition to the low quality of the services offered by the university, that were never exempt of human errors like scheduling more than one lecture in the same classroom and hour, unexpected changes without notifying student, inconsistent information and not using the resources (teachers, classrooms) profitably. For that reason, it was proposed to create a web application that automated these processes. This software helps the user manage information about available classrooms, active students and teachers, subjects, and most importantly, schedule the lectures/classes distributing them through an intelligent algorithm that makes the most of the university’s resources.

    In order to realize this document's readers, the grocery store EL DORADO, target implementation store, for this bachelor degree aspiration work. EL DORADO is offering to its customers a wide kind of products ‘first need' mainly, featuring reasonable prices and a quick and agile attention, due mainly by using informatic POS systems, for five years ago. Since then EL DORADO has purchased two different POS of which have founded several issues related with the ease of use in such critical system forms, an automation left on repetitive task and a left or nonexistent to data system in order to exploit, migrate or leverage it. For that reason, has decide to focus this bachelor degree work, that in conjunction with an analysis, requirements engineering, software architecture, development methodology and lastly software development, to produce one POS system with the advantages that solve the above issue related Developing this project, it will acquire the require skills to identify such issues at business process systems, showing abilities on planning and solving to these kind of issues, all of this supported by self for a framework. As bottom line, we procced to ask ourselves: ¿we make the difference, when we design, developing and implementing a POS system with advantages on its functionality, open to data exploit and connectivity, using computer algorithm programs aside highly usable forms to make automation and ease use of repeated task for a wide kind of business like EL DORADO, grocery stores, small retailers and so on small business.

    Aplicación móvil para el servicio de adopción de mascotas en la fundación hogar de perros

    The aim of the current project was to bring a solution to the low level of pets adoption in “Hogar de Perros” foundation, a problem that was detected after an observation process, which led to the conclusion that the pet stagnation in the foundation affected the quality of the organisation services and closing it was becoming a possibility due to this issue. Therefore, it was proposed to create a mobile app in order to improve pet’s adoption in Hogar de Perros. Kanban methodology was implemented for the development of the app, allowing to control the time and work flow that was being used both to develop and solve bugs. As a result, the mobile app gives the possibility of publishing when a pet enters the foundation, lets the adoption process general requirements be known and provides an alert mechanism to keep the users updated with all the news in the organisation. These results let us conclude that the system enhances adoption processes and increases the number of places for new pets to enter the foundation

    The research project "CHARACTERIZATION OF GRADUATES OF THE COMPUTER ENGINEERING PROGRAM AND ITS IMPACT ON THE MEDIA", will impact the curriculum with contributions from the experiences of graduates, trends and realities of the productive sector both internationally, nationally and regionally before the projections of the program in updating, adjusting and curricular reform based on the guidelines for the design and curricular updating in the Santo Tomás University (USTA, 2015) and the quality assurance system of higher education in Colombia (Decree 1280 of July 2018 and decree 1330 of July 2019). The descriptive methodology was used from the collection of information through instruments, interviews, surveys, observations and focus groups; group, analyze, interpret and present the results of the characterization of the graduate and its impact on the environment. As a result of the research, the graduate of the computer engineering program could be characterized, highlighting that the training profile meets the needs of the productive sector in terms of occupational functions and professional performance. In addition, the study managed to identify and update information on the diaspora of graduates in the geographical and business area of the country, allowing them to know their geographical distribution, work location, sectors and types of companies that employ them. Given the importance of the experience, they will socialize with different networks that group graduates nationally and internationally, such as the National Graduate Network (RENACE) and the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN).

    DenunciApp : Diseño e implementación de una aplicación móvil para la denuncia de delitos ambientales

    The Combeima Canyon, in the foothills of the Nevado del Tolima snow-capped mountain, located in the Tolima department of Colombia, is renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty. As much of the country, it is rich in biodiversity, with recorded sightings of 270-280 species of birds, and produces water for the city of Ibagué. As such, it has significant potential for eco-tourism, as well as being strategic for the well-being of many Colombians. Sadly, the area has suffered considerable environmental degradation, due to the presence of illegal mining, logging, unlicensed construction, and pervasive littering, among other activities which have a negative impact on the local environment. This work aims to address the problem that most environmental offences or crimes committed in the area go unreported, thus preventing the relevant authorities from taking appropriate action. The solution proposed is a smartphone application (App) aimed at ordinary citizens for reporting such incidents. The App enables users to record key details about any incident of concern that they witness, such as time, location and a textual description. Furthermore, items of multimedia evidence such as photographs, videos and audios can be integrated as part of the incident report, which is transmitted to a MongoDB database in the cloud, and subsequently provides a notification for the relevant environmental authority. This work proposes a design for such an App, and includes a prototype implementation for the Android platform.

    Implementación de Services Desk en Falabella de Colombia

    During the exercise of its operation in Colombia, Falabella has expressed enormous changes that have demanded that its physical and technological infrastructure have to be adjusted to such growth, as it happened from having 10 employees in its beginnings, to have 5,200 for the year 2017 with 26 stores by department and presence in the main cities of the country. This has resulted in all its internal processes being rethought, and technological processes are not the exception, so it becomes necessary the implementation of a service desk to channel the attention and support of all technological processes to its interior Are presented. Ideally, international standards should be taken into account when implementing them, not only because of their design framework but also because such standards make processes fit into structured procedures from start to finish. That is the purpose of this work, to show from the identification of the need to have a table of service, to its implementation and implementation in productive environments, estimating not only the scope of the same, but the economic and service area In its implementation.
