This research focuses on the structural analysis of the maximum spans of the Costa e Silva Bridge in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Pumarejo Bridge in Barranquilla, Colombia, identifying the structural elements adopted in the critical areas, which were designed to counteract the geological and meteorological conditions, in order to withstand the phenomena and loads that predominate there.

Colombia is currently developing a modernization process in its road infrastructure, which is focused in improving the operational capacity and speed of design of existing road corridors through the construction dual carriageway type infrastructure. Which in turn require to achieve the objectives described above the construction of more technically complex works such as tunnels and bridges. However, the construction of a large number of bridges increases the total execution times of the work, since This type of elements demand large injections of resources and specialized personnel as described by the Professor Mounir Kjalil El Debs (2021, p.3) in his book Pontes de concrete com enfase na aplicacao de elementos pre-modeled, in some cases becoming relevant activities within the critical path of a project. Taking the above as a reference, it can be determined that developing totally prefabricated bridges and not only some elements as it is currently done is determined in a strategy that can reduce the times of execution and quality control in the works. Throughout this document we will analyze the feasibility of implementing fully prefabricated systems in the construction of bridges in Colombia, through the analysis of bibliographical sources that reflect the experience in other countries and regions, hoping to conclude with the relevant aspects to be taken into account from the regulatory aspect and logistics for the success of this type of construction procedures in the local environment.

Brazil is a country that has invested and continues to invest in education, quality education which stands out not only in its states and nation but also globally, it was found that one of its great strengths is technology and infrastructure. of equipment in universities and that their students are always seeking to acquire new and detailed knowledge in each of the areas they specialize in, thus reaching higher levels of education such as doctorates and post-doctorates, not they only work with each other but also carry out inter-institutional cooperation at a global level given that we are in a globalized world.

The current circumstances of the environments where the life of the human being develops, allows to glimpse that it is possible to have different alternatives in the field of construction from new methodologies and global technologies that open the possibility of use and application of wood in any type of work, based on the care and preservation of the environment. According to the above, the use of wood has been increasing due to its constructive and low pollution characteristics, in greater proportion in Brazil and in a smaller scale in Colombia; however, it should be taken into account that both countries have similar regulations and have a large production capacity of this raw material.
