    The water use plans are alternatives that are being implemented to optimize the use of the water resource and manage to face periods of drought. These plans make it possible to mitigate water supply problems not only for drinking purposes but also for irrigation and domestic activities. Therefore, it is important to implement methods for the use of raw water, establishing reductions in the consumption of drinking water for the conservation of the environment, taking care of water sources and of course making adequate use of water. To achieve this objective, various strategies have been implemented such as: mathematical models that evaluate the potential for using rainwater, sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) that achieve a reduction. the impacts produced when urbanizing, allowing the storage and use of water resources. The purpose of this guide is to establish a methodology for the use of raw water in educational institutions belonging to the capital district, the Sabana Centro province and the Ubaté Valley, since they present precipitation regimes between 500-1000mm per year (Image 1), where The procedures necessary to carry out a rainwater use plan are specified, taking as a reference the degree project, "Raw water use plan for the San Alberto Magno campus of the Santo Tomás University". In the development of this guide, the departmental educational institution Divino Salvador present in the municipality of Cucunubá Cundinamarca will be taken as a reference.

    The proposed research project is the study of the threat caused by movements or phenomena of mass removal and the impact generated in the community and on the health of the ecosystems of two socially and environmentally vulnerable areas of the department of Huila, such as; Pitalito and Campoalegre. The identification of the threat will be carried out by means of a Geological, Geomorphological, Geotechnical and Biological study both in the field and in the cabinet, taking as a main axis the methodological guide for the characterization of the threat, vulnerability and risk of mass removal movements of the Colombian Geological Service

    With the catastrophic events that occur in Colombia due to floods and droughts, it is necessary to define a general protocol that allows entities linked to the mitigation of such events to act effectively, in accordance with current regulations. Therefore, it is necessary that the academy together with the private and state sector formulate different strategies that are integrated in an inter-institutional way, allowing to act efficiently, from the use of technologies and modeling of these natural events. The Early Warning Systems, better known as SAT, are the most widely used mechanisms today worldwide that allow the community, local and regional authorities to act in a coordinated manner, avoiding possible tragedies over time, taking the immediate measure as their support of flood flows or scarcity of water resources. The research proposed will allow the academy, private companies and local authorities to be integrated into a project of interest to the community in general. The project will be focused on allowing the modeling of natural events of possible floods that allow designing a network of stations that work as a system that issues alerts and management recommendations in real time, based on meteorological and hydrological variables, both observed and simulated. Alerts are generated by evaluating and using all the relevant information available, reporting on existing risks or negative impacts in the near future in some area of ​​interest. For this research there will be the support of a private company expert in water issues and the support of students who will carry out their degree projects from the Specialization in Territorial Management and Appraisals or the Civil or Environmental Engineering. As the results are generalized and socialized and the different municipalities internalize and apply the proposed developments, the great beneficiary of the project will be the community that inhabits those areas at high risk from flooding.

    The project, which is presented and proposed here, aims to study, analyze and evaluate the characteristics and behavior of certain operations that are carried out both in an airport and in an airport system (at the network level). As a case study, the Colombian airport network (as a whole) and some of the most important airports in the system will be used individually. This project is a continuity of four previous annual projects (2016-2019) (and that has generated almost 50 research products, including articles in indexed journals and international scientific events, in addition to a dozen degree projects), it is not a monothematic project but a strongly multidisciplinary line, approach, treatment and development, although always in the field of air transport. The close and fluid cooperation that exists with related institutions (Aerocivil, ANI, etc.) gives the research team almost unlimited access to existing large databases (Big Data), and having this Big Data is essential to carry out all the planned analyzes / calculations / simulations.

    The area located at the west of Bogota City, in the eastern range of Colombia, presents environmental conditions and processes of anthropogenic origin that favoring the development of cracking of surficial clayey soils due to loss of moisture, resulting in different pathologies of road and lighter structures and buildings. To study the problem, it is necessary to perform a material characterization of the compositional variables of the material affected, and in turn, both physical and mechanical characteristics that allow a more rational deployment of alternative future design and construction of these environment

    The subsoil of western "Sabana de Bogotá", in the central mountain range of Colombia, is made up of clay soils of lacustrine origin that have surface fissures caused by moisture losses, which have given rise to pathologies in lightweight structures affecting the use of these. To understand the mechanical behavior of these lacustrine soils face of changes in humidity, it is necessary to determine suction-moisture relations, which will allow establishing parameters that allow the modeling of terrain and then apply methods to improve the designs and constructive procedures of works civilians.

    Desiccation is a phenomenon which implies a continuous loss of moisture in clayey soils located above the water table. This is caused by many factors such as the presence of foreign plant species, whose roots induce the loss of free water from the mineral skeleton of the materials, the reduction of groundwater level which causes the lowering of free water caused by wells, and the presence of higher evaporation rates than precipitation at a given area. The desiccation process induces loss of moisture in clay soils that causes stress states inducing cracking conditions and loss of continuity in the soil mass, resulting heterogeneous amorphous soil columns bounded by the vertical cracks caused by the increase in matric suction of the materials. Roads and generally lightweight structures which foundation systems are on the dessicated-cracked materials have a high probability of damage during their lifetime with the consequent reduction of its functionality. Specifically in the case of roads, intolerable deformations on the structural layers make up the pavement structure, dramatically diminishing their level of service

    In this paper, we demonstrate obtaining Modulus of elasticity or also called Young's modulus of a clay soil profile of soft consistency, as are typical to find in the city of Bogotá, D.C., the calculation is shown for two types of tests on the ground, one of the test field as Down Hole, and one laboratory test such as the OneDimensional Consolidation. The values obtained are compared and also the reason why the Elasticity Modulus test calculated from the field is chosen expressed, to sign in a finite elements system.

    Preconsolidation pressure is known as the maximum geotechnical effort that has supported a particular soil along its geological history. The concept is especially important for sedimentary soils. A soil is preconsolidated or overconsolidated when currently effective stresses are below those historical values, deducting these in oedometer or isotropic conditions. The main factors determining the origin of preconsolidation on a sedimentary soil, there are geological processes are associated with loading stress paths and subsequent unload processes caused by erosion (physical removal of material by some geological agent), desiccation (loss of moisture) with in-depth of the water table and antropic unloads (man made excavations). Lacustrine clay of Bogota (Colombia), is a material that has been subjected to sedimentation processes in the last 3 million years and dessication processes in surficial layers in the last 100 years. This material has undergone all the processes described above. The preconsolidation stress is closely linked to the value of the coefficient of lateral earth pressure at rest (Ko), this value determines the lateral forces of buried infrastructure. There is still a lack of data about the values of Ko in Bogota Clay, especially in surface layers in which paved roads, foundations and other structures are supported.
