CENTRO CULTURAL MALINALCO

Abstract

The town of Malinalco is conformed by natives and tourists, formerly agriculture was the main source of employment of the town but in recent years tourism changed the dynamics.

Due to the lack of knowledge and searching for opportunities, natives sell their land at low costs, which is destroying the culture that has characterized their population. This is why new generations at a young age are migrating to the capital in search of opportunities.

A Cultural Center is created to give the community of Malinalco an opportunity to rescue their cultural roots and deepen their knowledge through an architectural piece, that besides providing educational spaces gives a prevalence to public spaces allowing the creation of new forms of education by betting on teaching in flexible places open to the natural environment.

With the Cultural Center of Malinalco, it will be possible to face the dynamics and changes that the town is facing, providing the population with a setting that generates new ideas and due to the learning rooms creates a sense of belonging for their lands and culture.
