Resumen
El presente trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo diseñar el sistema de transmisión para el prototipo Baja SAE de la Universidad Santo Tomás bajo los parámetros establecidos en la norma SAE de la competencia.
Así pues, este documento presenta el conjunto de modelos computarizados y sus respectivos cálculos que permitan el diseño mencionado, de manera global y específica con cada subsistema.
Para ello, se presenta la normativa de SAE que rige las especificaciones del diseño, se presentan alternativas de diseño en torno a esto y, a la seleccionada, se le realizan cálculos para falla a fatiga que es el tipo de esfuerzos a los que estará sometido el vehículo y, a manera de validación y mejora del diseño, se trabaja paralelamente con el software ANSYS y sus métodos de elementos finitos y optimización topológica.
Se concluye, satisfactoriamente, con la generación de una propuesta de diseño que abarca los requerimientos de cada elemento y que propone suplir los requerimientos de la competencia.
Abstract
The objective of this work is the design of the transmission system for the Baja SAE prototype of the Santo Tomás University under the established parameters in the SAE standard for the competition.
Thus, this document presents the set of computer models and those calculations used for the design of each subsystem.
For this, the SAE regulations that govern the design specifications are presented; after that, the paper presents the design alternatives proposed in order to solve the design problem; these alternatives are evaluated with a matrix that allows to select the one that fits better in its stablished parameters. To this alternative, calculations to prevent the fatigue failure are made. Finally, and through the software ANSYS and its finite element methods, is presented a validation for the previous calculations and an improvement of the design are using a topological optimization module.
It is concluded, satisfactorily, with the generation of a design proposal that covers the requirements of each element and those of the competition itself.
