Abstract

Being Tunja, a city characterized mainly by the historical and cultural and that focuses on highlighting the existing architectural heritage and that has a greater presence in the center of it, makes this, the center, the appropriate place to carry out the implementation of the project "center of historical memory" Within the city center we find different landmarks, one of them is the San Francisco square, a public space of great importance in the city center, more than for its use, for its strategic location on the tenth race, close to pedestrianization and that due to this reason it will capture the largest amount of the pedestrian flow in this sector. The intervention to the plaza was based on main axes marked by the common pedestrian crossing, which are mainly generated from the plaza san francisco to the Santander park, from the corner that leads from the plaza de Bolívar to the Iglesia San Francisco and from there to the Hotel Hunza. For this reason, they seek to consolidate these pedestrian axes, thus creating their own spaces to generate in them activities consistent with the historical memory center, with a cultural and historical approach and that in turn respond to the needs of the pedestrian.
