Resumen
Colombia es un país con una riqueza natural extraordinaria. Sus múltiples ecosistemas, áreas protegidas, océanos, flora, fauna, y otro sin fin de características lo convierten en el segundo país más biodiverso del mundo, no solo por sus recursos naturales sino también por todas las manifestaciones de vida (cultura, costumbres, dialectos y formas de vida). Los turistas que recorren nuestro país se encuentran con tesoros naturales inigualables, es por eso que el turismo ya es el segundo renglón de la economía nacional, después de la industria minero-energética. Sin embargo, el turismo desmedido está generando consecuencias ambientales graves para nuestros ecosistemas y futura calidad de vida. La cuenca hidrográfica del Lago de Tota es uno de los destinos que se ha visto afectado por este turismo excesivo y descontrolado, sin dejar de lado otros factores que también lo afectan como el mal uso de los suelos y el manejo inadecuado de algunos químicos en el sector agrícola. Desde el ministerio de industria y comercio se ha asumido el compromiso de implementar y fortalecer la sostenibilidad del sector turístico en el país, es por esta razón que hemos decidido enfocar nuestro proyecto hacia la sostenibilidad. Según la UNESCO (2019), el turismo sostenible o responsable es aquel “que respeta tanto a la población local como al viajero, el patrimonio cultural y el medio ambiente"(párr. 2). Partiendo de esto se hace un análisis del medio biofísico en el Lago de Tota, específicamente en el municipio de Tota, en el área sureste del lago, sabiendo que el turismo como toda actividad productiva, requiere de una dosis de consumo importante. De este análisis surgen diferentes cuestiones que irán siendo respondidas por medio de la investigación realizada sobre consumo, sostenibilidad, arquitectura sostenible, turismo responsable, normativa, métodos constructivos, fuentes de energía renovable, materialidad, estrategias, entre otras. Con estos resultados, y algunos referentes importantes, logramos resolver los objetivos de nuestro complejo turístico con criterios de sostenibilidad y todo lo que lo compone, diseñando espacios armónicos, confortables y amenos para los turistas, garantizando el disfrute de estos mientras que preservamos lo más posible este ecosistema, utilizando adecuadamente los recursos y logrando un adecuado control de los impactos negativos que se generan, contribuyendo al crecimiento económico, desarrollo inclusivo y sostenibilidad ambiental.
Abstract
Colombia is a country with an extraordinary natural wealth. Its multiple ecosystems, protected areas, oceans, flora, fauna, and endless other characteristics make it the second most biodiverse country in the world, not only for its natural resources but also for all life manifestations (culture, customs, dialects and ways of life). Tourists who visit our country can find incomparable natural treasures, that’s why tourism is already the second line of the national economy, after the mining-energy industry. However, excessive tourism is increasing serious environmental consequences for our ecosystems and future life quality. The Lake Tota hydrographic basin is one of the destinations that has been affected by this excessive and uncontrolled tourism, without neglecting other factors that also affect it, such as the misuse of the soil and the inadequate handling of some chemicals from the agricultural sector. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has assumed the commitment to implement and strengthen the sustainability of the tourism sector in the country, it’s for this reason that we decided to focus our project towards sustainability. According to UNESCO (2019), sustainable or responsible tourism "respects the local population and the traveler, the cultural heritage and the environment". Based on this, we made an analysis of the biophysical environment in Lake Tota, specifically in the municipality of Tota, in the southeast area of the lake, knowing that tourism, like any productive activity, requires a dose of important consumption. Different questions arise from this analysis that will be answered through research about consumption, sustainability, sustainable architecture, responsible tourism, regulations, construction methods, renewable energy sources, materiality, strategies, etc. With these results, and some important references, we managed to meet the objectives of our tourist complex with sustainability criteria and everything that composes it, harmonic designing, comfortable and pleasant spaces for tourists, guaranteeing their enjoyment while preserving as much as possible this ecosystem, properly using resources and achieving adequate control of the negative impacts that will be generated, contributing to economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability.
