En el segundo capítulo, después de haber abordado la relación existente entre la experiencia y el pensamiento, elementos que no solo se conjugan en el contexto de la investigación social, sino también en el contexto de la democracia y de la educación que en ella se lleva a cabo, se hizo una presentación de algunos valores del viejo liberalismo que además constituyen un pilar fundamental del sistema democrático; me refiero a la libertad y su relación con la autoridad y la igualdad.
