Abstract

This work has been an investigation that gave rise to disciplinary issues of architecture regarding habitat from a local, collective and sustainable perspective, through a compilation of case studies that address the participatory nature of architecture as a method. On the one hand, through a systematic review of texts written in Spanish that value project support from a sociocultural perspective in the Latin American context; and on the other hand, taking constructed references of movements and architectural situations that are created, expressed and manifested from the place of participation. This in order to disseminate and pursue a practice that avoids hegemonic and colonizing models and archetypes, spectacle architectures and ignorance of processes and instruments of architectural creation that arise from social habits. The result was the construction of a state of the art on architecture and participation, which serves as an instrument for visualization and problematization of the socio-spatial conditions that cross architecture and range from actors, techniques, experiences and trades, to economics. . , productive, cultural and environmental, and that in these conditions there is a transformation of the discourse and the possibilities of the work of architecture from the academy. Inserts the idea of learning by doing and doing by learning, addressing the material and immaterial values found in this review. In this sense, the research products have a pedagogical value, for the purposes of raising awareness among teachers and students about the relevance of approaching teaching-learning processes with a participatory approach.
