Desarrollo de un índice de equilibrio para evaluar la funcionalidad en mujeres mayores de 60 años

| dc.description | Introducción: La cantidad de variables obtenidas sobre una plataforma de fuerza usada para medir el equilibrio estático hace del análisis de los resultados un proceso complejo. El objetivo de este estudio es desarrollar un índice estadístico aplicado a la evaluación de la estabilometría sobre plataformas de fuerza en mujeres mayores de 60 a˜nos. Material y métodos: Sesenta y una mujeres activas y sedentarias (64,12 ± 4,25 años) fueron evaluadas respecto a su capacidad de equilibrio estático con los ojos abiertos y cerrados sobre una plataforma de fuerza utilizando las variables del centro de presión. Resultados: Fueron resumidas 18 variables de equilibrio, lo cual permitió construir un índice resumen que integra la respuesta del equilibrio estático con los ojos abiertos y cerrados así: I = 0, 29C3 + 0, 22C5 + 0, 26C6 + 0, 24C9 Conclusiones: Entre 18 variables solo el radio (C3), el radio mínimo (C5), el rango transversal (C6) y la velocidad (C9) del centro de presión permiten valorar la capacidad de equilibrio estático (ojos abiertos y cerrados) de manera integral, lo cual soporta la construcción de un índice predictivo. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: The quantity of variables obtained on a force platform used to measure the dyna-mic or static balance makes the analysis of the results complex.The purpose of this study is todevelop a statistical index applied to the evaluation of the balance on force platforms to beapplied in older women over 60-years.Materials and methods: A total of 61 active and sedentary women (64.12 ± 4.25 years) wereevaluated as regards their static balance capacity with eyes opened and closed on a forceplatform using the variables derived of centre of pressure (COP).Results: A total of18 variables of balance were summarised in order to construct an indexsummary that integrates the response of the open and closed eyes static balance as follows:I = 0.29C3+ 0.22C5+ 0.26C6+ 0.24C9Conclusions: Of the18 variables analysed, only the radius (C3), the minimal radius (C5), thetransverse range (C6), and the speed (C9) of the COP was useful in the integrated measurementof the capacity of static balance (opened and closed eyes), which supports the construction ofa predictive index. | spa |
